How do I know when my protocol expires?
The expiration date of your protocol is located in the approval box where the HSC Chair has signed. You will want to submit a Full Board review approximately 2 months before the expiration date. An expedited review should be submitted 1 month before the expiration date. If your protocol expires before it can be renewed, all research must stop on the expiration date. There is no grace period.

How do I submit a renewal?
The easiest way to renew is to use the completed copy of the protocol you saved on your computer.

If you are not making any changes:
-Update section 9
-print out the protocol
-get new signatures
-submit the number of copies specified in the protocol.
If you are making changes:
-Make your changes in the body of the protocol in bold type.
-Update section 9 INCLUDING a summary of the changes.
-print out the protocol
-get new signatures
-submit the number of copies specified in the protocol.
