Recovery Act Package: Information & Resources for UCSB Researchers

Update on the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) of 2009:

The American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009 (ARRA), also known as the Stimulus Package, passed by Congress and signed by President Obama in February 2009, presents an unparalleled, one-time funding opportunity for the University research enterprise. Virtually all major federal research agencies are receiving additional significant research dollars for competitive grants, construction/renovation of research facilities, and instrumentation.

Implementation of the ARRA is continually evolving, so to help the UCSB research community take full advantage of these opportunities the Office of Research and of Governmental Relations are teaming to provide information to faculty and staff.

Funds are generally expected to be disbursed and spent by September 2010. Each agency is developing a plan, guidance, and processes. This site will be updated regularly to reflect the most up-to-date information from the agencies.
