Hello Everyone,<br>
<br>
Good News <span class="moz-smiley-s1"><span> :-) </span></span><br>
<br>
<b>For NIH Grants.gov submission only:<br>
<br>
</b>1) Entering the Liaison information in the "Person to be Contacted"
field of the SF424 (Block 5), will generate e-mails from the NIH eRA
Commons regarding the status of the application including
warnings/errors. SPO and PI will also continue to receive these emails.<br>
<br>
<b>Department Liaisons - Please begin entering your contact information
in block 5 of the SF-424 for NIH submissions only.</b><br>
<br>
2) NIH has also announced a new function entitled "Delegation of PI
Status Access". PI's can now delegate the ability to view the status of
the electronically submitted applications to any commons-registered
individual with an ASST role (aka Dept Liaisons). This new menu choice
is found in Admin menu by selecting Account/Delegate Status. Once in
the Delegate Status screen, PI's will see a list of individuals
registered with the ASST role and can "Delegate" and "Remove"
delegation for those individuals.Once this delegation has been granted,
the ASST will be able to view and access the list of applications
associated with the PI. Individuals can have this authority delegated
to them by more than one PI. The <b>view</b> these delegated
individuals will have is equivalent to that of a Signing Official view
and does not include access to submit, access to confidential
information; e.g., summary statements and priority scores.<br>
<br>
<b>Ask your PI's to log into the commons website at:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://commons.era.nih.gov/commons/">https://commons.era.nih.gov/commons/</a> and delegate this new function for
you. This action will eliminate the temptation to use poor security
practices (Sharing PI username and password). To anyone that shared
their account login information (you know who you are), please use this
delegate authority option and change your passwords immediately.</b><br>
