Abstract: This seminar will take you through a scenario in which a grad student faces a tough ethical dilemma. You will learn how to recognize potential problems and protect your own integrity and reputation. In addition, we'll talk about how to use mentors effectively and what to expect from them.
Bio: Olivia Walling teaches Engineering Ethics (ENGR 101), Legal Writing (107L), Writing in the Sciences and Technology (109ST), and Writing for the Social Sciences (109SS). She received her Ph.D. in the history of science and technology from the University of Minnesota and her J.D. from Vanderbilt University. She researches the creation and use of feedback on student writing and topics in engineering ethics and ethics education.
