Eligibility:  UCSB may submit 1 proposal. Separately, Arts & Lectures may submit 1 proposal, and the UCSB Art Museum may submit 1 proposal.
Campus Procedure:  Interested investigators must submit a notice of intent to Kelly Pillsbury at funding@research.ucsb.edu by Thursday, December 14th at 5 p.m. The notice should include: 1) PI Name; 2) Names of co-PIs or collaborators; 3) Brief description of the proposed project (no more than one paragraph). If more than one potential project is identified, pre-proposals will be requested and a review process will be developed. Summary:  Art Works projects support public engagement with, and access to, various forms of excellent art across the nation, the creation of art that meets the highest standards of excellence, learning in the arts at all stages of life, and the integration of the arts into the fabric of community life. NEA encourages projects that: 1) Celebrate America‚Äôs creativity and cultural heritage; 2) Invite a dialogue that fosters a mutual respect for the diverse beliefs and values of all persons and groups; or 3) Enrich our humanity by broadening our understanding of ourselves as individuals and as a society. An organization may request a grant amount from $10K to $100K. Applications will be accepted under two deadlines, depending on discipline. All grants require a nonfederal match of at least 1 to 1.
